Countrymen at home and abroad, in the sacred memory of the martyrs of Amritsar, let us today swear the destruction of British power in India. Let us today refresh our memories of British terrorism and breach of good faith. Let as today swear to do or die for the complete independence of India. The 13th of April has been observed as a day of national mourning all over India for the last twenty-four years. I am confident that the time will soon come when this day will be celebrated as India's national festival of emancipation and victory.
